With exports of readymade garments (RMG) reached 9.2 billion in 2007 and expected to increase $ 12 million or more in the next two years, it is clear that the industry is growing at an exponential rate.    

The increased demand for our garments abroad indicates improved product quality and increased customer confidence, resulting in further expansion of the industry, more jobs, more consumers in the domestic market and a boost the economy. However, there are many potholes and bumps in the road to economic freedom and overcoming them will determine whether we have the tree which is expected to happen.

After the emergence of Bangladesh radical change has come to our clothing. Clothing Sector started working since 10 leaves. Currently there are about 3000 clothing sector in the country and 75 percent of them are in Dhaka. The rest is in Chittagong and Khulna. These industries have used fifty missing and 85 percent of them are illiterate, rural women. Approximately 76 percent of our export earnings from this sector.

The RMG sector is expected to grow despite the global financial crisis of 2009. As China is proving a challenge for textile and footwear at low prices, as a result of increased labor costs, many foreign investors come to Bangladesh advantage of low labor costs. Even now, the clothing made most of the production has all the accessories from outside, which is very expensive. Now they will use local accessory shop of the required quality. Zippers, buttons, labels, hooks, hangers, rubber bands, wire, plates, pins, butterfly clips, collar stays, clavicles and boxes are primarily produced garment accessories in Bangladesh.
