Currently there are about 3000 clothing sector in the country and 75 percent of them are in Dhaka. The rest is in Chittagong and Khulna. These industries have used fifty missing and 85 percent of them are illiterate, rural women. Approximately 76 percent of our export earnings from this sector.

As China is proving a challenge for textile and footwear at low prices, as a result of increased labor costs, many foreign investors come to Bangladesh advantage of low labor costs. Even now, the clothing made most of the production has all the accessories from outside, which is very expensive. Now they will use local accessory shop of the required quality.
